Bolgheri at 180 km. It is a small medieval village enclosed within the walls of its Castle. A long avenue bordered with cypresses takes the traveler from the main road, up the hill. Bolgheri is known worldwide for the poetry of Giosuè Carducci entitled "Davanti San Guido "where he talks to the cypresses" young giants "who welcome him as an adult, in the land of his childhood, the land of fairy tales and dreams, now buried as grandmother Lucia in the cemetery above the hill. Bolgheri belongs to the municipality of Castagneto Carducci from which it is about 8 km away and is in the province of Livorno
